Yes, as long as you have the text as Markdown. Save it in a .md file, then open it in Marko. You can also create a document and paste your text in Source mode.
No. The trial is complete for 14 days, with no account and no credit card. After that, Solo costs €5 excl. tax per month or €48 excl. tax per year. The Teams plan costs €9 excl. tax per seat per month, 3 seats minimum. If you connect an AI provider with your own key, that provider's billing, if any, is separate from Marko.
No. Files are read and saved on your Mac. For each request to the assistant, you pick the passage and the model, then check the preview before anything is sent. You can also work entirely without AI.
The current download is for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 12 or later. Windows and Linux versions are not available yet.
Open the downloaded .dmg file, then drag Marko into Applications. The app is signed and notarized by Apple: the first time, macOS reminds you it came from the internet and you click “Open”. With Homebrew, one command is enough: brew install --cask merwanguerrib/marko/marko.
